Week number 73-40
Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
In their house in Amstelveen, Okko Reussien and his wife Riga take care of monkeys that can no longer be kept at home by people. For this they founded the foundation Apen Adoptie en Protectie (AAP, Monkeys Adoption and Protection). Because of the lack of space, some monkeys are in a cage in the garden, but because of the coming winter, they'll have to be moved. The Reussiens hope to get a larger terrain where they can built a bigger home for the monkeys. With footage of a dying monkey that has been paralysed. With comment (off screen) by Reussien about his work and the fact that a monkey can not be kept as pet.
