Documentary about Arnhem, Oosterbeek, Velp, De Steeg, and Dieren Arnhem and Surroudings gives an attractive picture of the city and its surroundings. The documentary will undoubtedly have a promotional effect on tourism. From a church tower, we see Arnhem and its surroundings, followed by images of the city: footage of important buildings and squares are interspersed with shots taken from a moving tram. In the Luxor Theater, according to the poster in front of the building, the film Comrades [regisseur, jaar] is being screened. Arnhem shows itself as a bustling city, with a crowded market and many people on the street. But we also see its leafy outskirts and romantic castles. An extra attraction is the Rosendael estate, with its terrace of fountains (the ¿Bedriegertjes¿), shell gallery, and marble waterfall. The second part of the film focuses on Arnhem¿s scenic surroundings, including shots of the Middachten estate. The connecting elements in this tour are the Rhine and IJssel rivers, which form Arnhem¿s lifelines.
